C.1 Settings & scrap-reduction levers

Each project can adjust sheet sizes, bar lengths, kerf, splices and the material-saving “levers” – the planner immediately sees the effect of each choice on the amount of steel to be purchased.

What it does

Sheet sizes (1500 / 2000 × 6000 / 12000 plus custom sizes, limited by thickness), 6000 / 12000 mm bars, kerf, edge trim and splices (max. 1 per part).
Levers: true contours from the IFC (including bolt holes), pairing parts turned 180°, sheets cut to length, slit strips, issuing remnants from stock (MR-STOCK), angles press-brake bent from plate, hollow sections / pipes ordered to length, smart optimisation (ruin & recreate + simulated annealing).
Remnants above the minimum size (plates ≥ 300 × 300 mm, bars ≥ 1000 mm) are returned to stock and are not counted as scrap.
