PEB Studio in one page: modules and data flow

PEB Studio reads the IFC from Tekla Structures and manages the whole life of every steel member: BOM, cutting, requisitions, production and QC, welds, packing, erection and handover – on one data set.

The chain

Everything starts from the IFC model exported from Tekla Structures, together with its PDF, DXF and NC drawings. From there each module adds information to the same components:

ModuleAddsMain users
A · PlatformAccounts, departments, permissions, projects and versionsAdministrators
B · IFC & BOMAssemblies, parts, material take-off, bolts, welds, 3D, drawingsEngineering, estimating, purchasing
C · Cutting & MRCutting plans, machine files, material requisitionsEngineering, cutting shop, purchasing

Four shared foundations

  • One account per person, with permissions by department and role, checked on the server.
  • One project record, entered once and reused by every document.
  • One component identity – mark, serial and QR – from the IFC to the installed position.
  • One audit trail: history is appended, never overwritten.

Where to start

New users usually begin with the step-by-step guides, then the feature reference for their own module. Administrators should read Roles and permissions first.
