Known limits

What PEB Studio deliberately does not do, and the points where a qualified person must confirm the data.

  • Weld sizes are not contained in the IFC – they come from the drawings. Weld consumable factors are references confirmed by the welding engineer.
  • Container data (tare, maximum gross mass) are typical values until confirmed from the CSC plate; the VGM signatory is responsible for the VGM.
  • The loading plan, the Ready for erection status and the erection simulation support planning – they do not replace the method statement, the safety assessment or a lashing certificate.
  • The DXF for cutting does not carry cutting sequence, lead-ins or kerf compensation; splice positions must be approved by the designer.
  • Internal electronic signatures are logged but are not certified digital signatures (e.g. under Vietnam's Law on Electronic Transactions 2023) unless a certification service is used.
  • Built-in translations of labels should be reviewed by a native speaker; AI translations must be approved before they reach a client.
  • Arabic (right-to-left) PDFs are not supported yet – use Excel or the online view. HEVC videos may need to be downloaded to play in older browsers.
  • Demo data is labelled DEMO and must be removed before going live.
