Project record, statuses and versions

The project record is entered once and reused by every module; versions capture each release and can be restored; projects can be duplicated or archived to a file.

The project record

Six groups of information: General (status, fabrication standard, surface protection, contract tonnage, delivery deadline), Client & site, Team in charge, Material requisition, Dispatch (shipper, consignee, notify party, Incoterms, ports, vessel, ETD, shipping marks) and Signatures. Every requisition, packing list and report reads from it.

Project status

A project moves from Quotation through the production and delivery phases to Warranty. The status is information for people and dashboards; permissions decide what each person may change.

Versions

  • Save the project as a named version at each release (quotation, production release Rev.A…).
  • The 40 most recent versions are kept.
  • Restoring a version first saves the current state automatically, so nothing is lost.

Reuse and archiving

Duplicate a complete project to reuse its settings, or download a project archive file to keep it or move it to another server.
